Ahead of the 2026 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Election, election monitoring arrangements were strengthened across Dindigul district. Separate teams were formed to investigate election-related complaints and undertake monitoring activities in all seven Assembly constituencies of the district. Election observers were also appointed by the Election Commission of India to oversee the electoral process.The district administration deployed Flying Squad Teams (FST) and Static Surveillance Teams (SST) to monitor election-related activities and enforce the Model Code of Conduct. These teams carried out vehicle checks and inspections and reported seizures made during election monitoring operations.The District Electoral Officer and District Collector also conducted inspections of monitoring activities across the district, including night-time surveillance operations. The measures were aimed at ensuring that election rules were followed and that the polling process was conducted in a free, fair and transparent manner.
